Alexander Jungbluth is an AfD politician and sits in the European Parliament. Mr. Jungbluth employs, among others, Reinhild Boßdorf as an assistant. She, in turn, is the daughter of Jungbluth’s parliamentary group colleague, AfD MEP Irmhild Boßdorf. But there is also something else interesting about these networks. Reinhild Boßdorf is considered an influential right-wing influencer and she is the founder of the AfD-affiliated women’s group Lucreta. Anyone who looks at Lucreta superficially cannot see anything wrong with it. Women who bake bread, are interested in braided hairstyles and enjoy crocheting. There are worse hobbies. When you look deeper, a different shade becomes clear.

No Head Above the Floral Dress or Why Women Can’t Think

In the article “Heimat. Crochet. Hatred – Undercover among right-wing extremist women” (ARD media library), the ARD shows that it doesn’t stop at baking, but that young women experience nasty bashing. And that a ethnic image of women is hidden under thick braids. We hear Emma, ​​who wants to remain anonymous. She attended Lucreta meetings as a 17-year-old and initially found the initiative exciting. Conservative, why not? Jeans and sweaters are not welcome? Then also a floral dress.

She says that she was quickly introduced to extreme ideas. “They talked about women there in an incredibly abnormal way, in the sense of: Women can’t think anyway.” Emma says she has also heard others talk about rape fantasies. She got out.

If you are in favor of remigration, you need lots of brown accessories

The Lucreta troop, founded in 2019, has almost 25,000 followers on Instagram. When the 20,000 follower threshold was exceeded in January, you could take part in a competition. The reward for the winner: a hand-sewn floral apron for business at the stove. Not bad.

Things get less flowery when you look through posts from similar European women’s groups: “How to dress properly if you’re for remigration” can be seen there, including clothing inspiration and lots of, oops, brown accessories. Remigration is also the guiding principle of the Lucreta group. “Remigration protects women!” one postulates, including the slogan “We make new Germans ourselves” or the term “monster” instead of migrants. But that doesn’t mean the platform stays in its own orbit.

The initiative maintains close relationships with pioneers of the right-wing extremist scene, such as Martin Sellner, the founder of the Identitarian Movement in Austria, who propagates the term “remigration”.

Lucreta also calls for “millions of migrants” to be deported from Germany. Only around 230,000 people are required to leave the country. So “women can’t think anyway,” as Emma kept hearing? Or even straight away: women can’t do math anyway. As written in a paper, the AfD wants to recruit more young women and mothers in the future. So far only one in five party members is female.

CDU politician Herbert Reul: Strategy is sensational and extremely dangerous

Martin Sellner appears at a secret meeting in Portugal. You hear about “Blood and Soil”, you see someone giving the Hitler salute. And one that sounds like giving women the right to vote was the worst thing that could have happened.

And the Lucreta women feel comfortable in such an environment? Herbert Reul, CDU Interior Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia, speaks of a “completely new quality” in the ARD report. He says: “They try to make it seem like they’re totally normal.” He also says: “This strategy is sensational.” Short pause: “But extremely dangerous.”

In France, Marie repeatedly receives threats from right-wing extremists. It sounds like this: “You dirty, smelly Islamic bitch with irreparable psychological damage.” Or like this: “I’ll see you again in the hospital, when you’ll be completely torn and devastated, with a broken nose and morally exhausted.”

Marie says that Nemesis, a French group allied with Lucreta, is exploiting her story and thus further fomenting hatred and agitation against migrants. The exchange of baking recipes and braided hairstyles in certain groups of women apparently looks completely different upon second glance.
