Files reveal: Sarah Ferguson begged Epstein for first class flight

Sarah Ferguson has long been criticized for her ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The so-called Epstein files are now gradually revealing more and more details.

Like the British newspaper “Daily Mail” reports, the files show, for example, that the ex-wife of ex-Prince Andrew visited Epstein with her two daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie after his release from prison – at Epstein’s expense.

On July 22, 2009, Epstein was released from prison and was then held under house arrest in Palm Beach. On the same day, Epstein’s assistant Lesley Groff apparently received an email from Sarah Ferguson’s environment. An email in the files from Groff to Epstein states: “Amanda from the Duchess’s office just called. She said that you generously offered to pay for the Duchess to visit you.”

Groff later wrote: “Amanda said the Princesses would like to accompany the Duchess and she asked if you might be willing to pay for them too.” Epstein agreed.

For Fergie, Epstein was “the brother I always wanted”

As the files show, Epstein also paid for the return flight, but probably not in the way the former Duchess of York imagined. Sarah Ferguson, who is currently hiding in a wellness hotelis said to have practically begged for an upgrade to first class. “The Duchess requested that they sit in First and the girls in Club on the flight back,” another email from Groff said.

But this time Epstein refused, Fergie and her daughters had to make do with their original places in business and economy. The flights still cost over 14,000 US dollars, the equivalent of around 11,900 euros.

What also emerges from the files: Just a week after her visit, Fergie wrote Epstein an exuberant email: “I have never been so touched by the kindness of a friend as by the compliment you gave me in front of my girls. Thank you, Jeffrey, for being the brother I always wanted.”
