“Otherwise my thoughts are only with Roccolito,” says Verona Pooth in her Instagram story. She has an important court date ahead of her, but her concern is for the safety of her son Rocco, who is still stuck in Dubai, affected by the conflict in the Middle East.

“But I’m slowly finding a way that we might be able to do it together with Louisa (Editor’s note: Diego Pooth’s girlfriend) out of it,” the entrepreneur continues. “They’re both really brave, they’re doing so well. I’m so proud of them.”

For Pooth, the situation is difficult to bear: “As a mother, it is unbearable that he is so far away and in a war zone.”

The entrepreneur accuses him of giving her wrong advice. Because of this underinsurance, after jewelry worth over one million euros was stolen, her insurance company only reimbursed her for part of the damage. The broker denies the allegations.

For Pooth, the jewelry had a special meaning: “I consciously invested in high-quality pieces for over 25 years – that was my retirement provision,” she explains. “I’m not feeling well right now. This has been my life’s work.”

If the court confirms the incorrect advice, the broker’s financial loss liability insurance would have to compensate for the damage. “I’m fighting for my existence here and hope for justice,” said Pooth.
