According to previous findings, the 35-year-old suddenly attacked the victims at a Jehovah’s Witnesses stand on the morning of February 23rd. The reasons for this are not yet known. The investigators did not yet know whether the refugee was mentally ill.

Flyers to potential witnesses

The victims, aged 51, 55 and 68, were slightly injured in the scuffle. Passers-by, including a plainclothes police officer, overpowered the attacker. He was arrested and has been in custody ever since. The police were investigating attempted murder and attempted grievous bodily harm.

In the morning, police officers at the main train station had handed out flyers to passers-by asking them to come forward if they had witnessed anything of the attack the previous week.

Jehovah’s Witnesses are a Christian community with its own interpretation of the Bible.
