Police operation in Munich – car probably used as a weapon


A person was hit by a car on Harras in the southwest of Munich. The police are on site with several forces.

According to the “Abendzeitung München”, the police said there were indications that this was done intentionally. The person hit was said to have been taken to a hospital. “According to the current status, death is not expected,” the “Münchner Merkur” quoted a police spokesman as saying. The driver of the car is currently being searched for.

Munich: Homicide commission investigates

The officers were initially alerted because of the report of an accident on Harras, said a police spokesman. Meanwhile, Commissariat 11 is in operation, which is responsible, among other things, for homicides. Plinganserstrasse was closed. Further details initially remained unclear.
