After an accident in the emergency lane – drunk man hits helper

A suspected drunk 27-year-old illegally used an emergency lane and caused an accident there. After a crash on Autobahn 81 near Möglingen (Ludwigsburg district), he also hit a paramedic in the head, the police said.

According to the information, the man initially drove through an emergency lane at excessive speed. He hit two cars before crashing into the rear of a 51-year-old and stopping. The suspect and the 51-year-old were slightly injured. In total, there was an estimated damage of 100,000 euros.

Instead of seeking treatment after the accident on Wednesday, the 27-year-old initially ran away. “When a paramedic tried to take him back to a safe area, the 27-year-old reached out and hit the young woman in the head,” said the police. The paramedic was slightly injured and had to seek self-treatment.

Police took the man to the ground and handcuffed him. He also wanted to hit the police officers and insulted them. Because the police suspected that the man was drunk, his blood was taken. According to the police, the man went into a psychological state of emergency. He was eventually taken to a psychiatric facility.
