TV star Mola Adebisi sparks controversy with comments about his wife’s body. After a visit to the podcast there is suddenly a hail of criticism.
The reason for this are statements that Adebisi made in Alina Aura’s “Soul Over Beauty” podcast. In 2024 he and his wife Adelina Zilai had their first child together. When it comes to his wife’s body after pregnancy, the former VIVA presenter says that he was “extremely lucky”.
“She became pregnant, our child is now 16 months old, and, I think, after six days she looked as if she had never had a child,” Adebisi continues. For him, that was “a blessing. Great genes, everything was great, lucky.”
The podcaster shared the relevant excerpt on TikTok – and promptly sparked discussions. The overwhelming mood in the comments is one of horror. “I thought there would be something about support or some character compliments, but I didn’t expect THAT,” writes one user. These comments are a little clearer: “God forbid you would see it if a woman had a child…” and “Even if I’m not with him, I would like to break up.”
The statements also reach the Internet beyond the boundaries of the podcast. Tara-Louise Wittwer, for example, spoke about Adebisi’s statements on her Instagram channel “wastarasagen”. The influencer has a reach of almost 700,000 followers and the video has been viewed over a million times. She criticizes the topic from a feminist perspective.
Mola Adebisi’s wife reacts: “Completely drawn into the negative”
Of course, the headwind doesn’t go unnoticed for long. On March 7, Adebisi’s wife Adelina Zilai shared a statement on her Instagram channel. She criticizes “wastara says” and its classification. The excerpt is only part of the whole. Her husband only said nice things. Without context and the rest of the podcast, you could misunderstand this.
About the specific statements she says: “That’s absolutely nothing bad. He also said before and after that, no matter what, whether with a stomach or without a stomach, he loves me.”
And she goes one step further: “I don’t understand that he is being attacked because he loves me and our daughter and finds me beautiful.” The whole thing has been “completely taken into the negative” and she doesn’t think it’s okay.
Zilai accuses Tara-Louise Wittwer of bullying and making false statements. The influencer herself has not yet commented further.
