Star chef Gordon Ramsay: This is how you can make the perfect fluffy scrambled eggs

Fluffy scrambled eggs like in the restaurant are a breakfast treat. Star chef Gordon Ramsay reveals how best to achieve the creamy consistency.

Scrambled eggs are one Breakfast classic. It tastes best creamy and fluffy. But achieving this consistency is a challenge. Star chef Gordon Ramsay has, according to the British tabloid “Mirror“ reveal how the undertaking succeeds – in just three minutes.

Gordon Ramsay’s recipe for fluffy scrambled eggs

Ramsay relies on the following recipe:

  • 6 eggs
  • 15 grams of butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • a teaspoon of crème fraîche
  • Chives for garnish

How you proceed

To start, hit the Eggs in a deep pan. Ramsay recommends using cold eggs instead of room temperature ones for this recipe.

Then add the butter. If you want to make a smaller batch of scrambled eggs, stick to a 2:1 ratio of eggs to butter.

Over high heat, stir the scrambled eggs constantly – better with a rubber spatula than a whisk, advises Ramsay. Be sure to scrape the rubber spatula across the bottom of the pan as you stir.

30 seconds on the stove, stir next to it for 10 seconds

After about 30 seconds, remove the pan from the heat for 10 seconds and continue stirring. Then put the pan back on the stovetop and stir. Repeat the procedure (leave the pan on the stove for 30 seconds and stir, then remove it from the stove for 10 seconds and continue stirring) for a total of three minutes.

In the last minute of stirring, season the scrambled eggs sparingly with salt and pepper. Ramsay emphasizes that seasoning should be done at the end to maintain the freshness of the eggs.

For an even creamier result, fold in another teaspoon of crème fraîche. When the scrambled eggs have reached a creamy consistency, pour them onto a plate and sprinkle chives over them if desired. Enjoy it!
