A 43-year-old passenger was fatally injured at an ADAC rally in northern Hesse. According to the police, a driver lost control of his car early in the afternoon near Frielendorf for reasons that are still unclear and crashed head-on into a tree. The woman died a short time later in a hospital in Marburg. The 39-year-old driver was taken to Kassel Hospital with injuries, but his life was not in danger, the police said.

The accident occurred on the country road between Frielendorf and Großropperhausen, which had been closed to normal traffic for the 7th ADAC Rallye Hessisches Bergland. On the order of the public prosecutor’s office, an expert was brought in to investigate the exact course of the accident.
