Lived for over 13 years Michael Schanze in a rental house with a garden in Munich – but that will soon be over. As the “AZ” reports, he told “Leisure Fun”: “They want to demolish the house. I have to move because I got laid off.”
The thought should be difficult for him. After all, the entertainer spent many years there. Looking back, he says he was “able to live very privilegedly” on around 200 square meters.

The 79-year-old has to leave the house by the end of the year at the latest. This begins a challenge that many people in big cities like Munich know all too well: finding a new apartment. The real estate market in the Bavarian capital is considered one of the most tense in Germany.
Schanze also knows that the search could be difficult. However, the entertainer is not completely without a plan B. If he can’t find a suitable apartment, he also considers other options: a retirement home. “I have that in the back of my mind. That’s definitely an option,” says Schanze.
