Brittany Smith from the US state of Tenessee has collected donations for the man, as several media reports. She had previously posted surveillance footage from March 10th on Facebook showing the pensioner being extradited for the American Food suppliers “Door Dash” can be seen. She wrote: “Please help me find this wonderful man! Why does he have to work at Door Dash? His name is Richard! Help me find him.”

Too little money for medication and doctor’s visits

The footage quickly went viral. There was great outrage that the man still had to work hard at this age. According to the Daily Mail, it eventually emerged that Richard’s wife Brenda had lost her job. That’s why the couple started working together for “Door Dash” – Brenda drove and Richard brought the food to the door.

Because: The costs for doctors and Medication have become almost priceless – the pension wasn’t enough. Brittany Smith has since handed over the donations – and shared a video of it on Facebook. Within a few days, more than $960,000 had been raised.
