Super-G in the live ticker: The interim results

11:07 a.m.: Miradoli doesn’t have a good run. She is lifted early on, loses time and shortly before the finish she is lifted again and is eliminated.

11:03 a.m.: Now things are getting really hot: Sofia Goggia grabs the little ball! A sixth place would be enough, but it doesn’t look like that at all.

The Italian goes on the attack and drives at the limit right from the start. From the middle of the race she takes the lead, pulls through mercilessly and continues to expand her lead.

At the finish the clear announcement: six tenths ahead – first place! Everything would have to collapse if six more drivers were to pass here. The ball is within reach.

10:59 a.m.: Now the newly crowned downhill ball winner is taking to the track. However, Laura Pirovano is not one of the top favorites in the Super-G. The Italian lost a lot of time early on and ended up finishing around a second and a half behind. Not a good trip.

10:56 a.m.: Then the first German takes to the track – and what a performance! Kira Weidle-Winkelmann got off to a strong start, set a top intermediate time in the upper section and showed from the start that she is a force to be reckoned with today.

The second in yesterday’s descent skis with a lot of feeling, finds the perfect balance between risk and control, invests wisely in the line and lets her skis work properly. With each section the lead grows – and at the finish a clear announcement appears: almost a second ahead! A show of force.

10:53 a.m.: After the third starter, things get emotional in the finish area: Ilka Štuhec is competing in the last race of her career and is being duly celebrated. In terms of sport, she no longer plays a role in the top field today, but the moment is entirely hers.

10.50 a.m.: Keely Cashman now at the start. The American lets it run its course in the upper section. In the lower section, the 26-year-old really finds the pace, moves ahead of Puchner and is a good four tenths ahead at the finish.

10:48 a.m.: Mirjam Puchner opens this Super G. The Austrian sets the first time: 1:31.20 min.

10.45 a.m.: Welcome to the showdown for the big crystal ball. Emma Aicher starts the race with start number 14 and thus opens the direct duel, while Mikaela Shiffrin only takes to the track later with start number 25. We are excited.

10.30 a.m.: An almost entire top field is competing in the Super-G. Only Lindsey Vonn is missing from the top 25 due to injury. Mikaela Shiffrin and Julia Scheib also move into the field via their overall World Cup points, as does Junior World Champion Emy Charbonnier. In total, the starting field includes 27 drivers.

Aicher’s last chance for the big crystal ball

9:45 a.m.: The chances for Emma Aicher The hope for the greatest possible triumph, namely the big crystal ball in the overall ranking, has melted badly in Kvitfjell. As hoped, she was not able to get significantly closer to the leading Mikaela Shiffrin, who was hoping for a start in the departure had renounced.
