Bundesliga: Mainz defeats Frankfurt, Eintracht still in crisis


FSV Mainz 05 scored another breakthrough in the relegation battle of the Bundesliga with a late win in the Rhine-Main derby against Eintracht Frankfurt.

1:0 Nebel (6th), 1:1 Brown (20th), 2:1 Nebel (89th)

For the Frankfurt team, the result meant a setback with regard to possible qualification for the international competitions.

In front of 33,305 spectators, Paul Nebel gave the home team the lead in the 6th minute, which Nathaniel Brown (20th) quickly equalized. However, the national player was unable to finish the game due to a foot injury. It was initially unclear whether his journey to the DFB selection was at risk.
