More gun incidents

The number of incidents involving firearms has recently increased in Berlin. “We have been talking about arming the scene for a long time and obviously there are more and more people in this city who use gun violence to solve private feuds or rivalries in organized crime,” said Jendro. “It would be nice if politicians finally did something.” What is needed, for example, is more video surveillance, modern evaluation technology and sensible measures against illegal arms trafficking.

Some time ago, the special unit “Ferrum” was formed in the Berlin State Criminal Police Office (LKA). It is intended to take action against the widespread firearms and shootings in the city and to put pressure on organized crime structures through numerous controls and other activities.
