I wouldn’t send my child there,” says a resident to FOCUS online. According to “Bild”, the doors to the room where the crime took place have now been taken down.

The church district clearly contradicts the impression that has arisen of neglect by employees of the youth center.

A short time later, the local Anzeiger publishing house also reported on the investigation. “We take them very seriously and fully support the ongoing investigations. We are aware that such allegations cause great uncertainty and concern. That is precisely why it is important that we leave the clarification to the responsible police authority,” said Mayor Marc Breitenfeld to the newspaper.

Status of the investigation into the rape in the youth center

The legal process is currently in full swing. As a spokeswoman for the Stade public prosecutor’s office explained to “Bild”, the investigation has the highest priority. A result will be available in two months at the earliest.

The victim’s godmother had already made the crime public on social media in August 2025. The 14-year-old was abused behind a barricaded door while other young people stood in front of the door without intervening. There are also said to be video recordings of the crime. The godmother called for information to be given to the police, but also emphasized that the crime should not become a political football.
