A group of seven dogs are said to have escaped slaughter in northeast China in mid-March. A video showing the incident is currently circulating on X.
As “The Times of India” reports, the animals were previously stolen to be used by a… butcher to be slaughtered. However, this information is not officially confirmed. As eyewitness footage shows, the group ran from dogs carefully on the shoulder of one Highway and surrounded a supposedly injured German Shepherd.
Dogs are said to have returned to their owners
A corgi led the pack. The group is said to have walked 17 kilometers home. According to The Times of India, stray and stolen dogs are the cheapest source of meat in China.
Last Thursday, an animal rights activist reportedly told Jimu News that all seven dogs had been returned to their respective owners. So far, no information is known about the suspected dog thieves.
