15-year-old killed in parking lot, man (22) turns himself in

A 22-year-old turned himself in to the police two weeks after the death of a young person (15) in Eckernförde. He is in custody, as the Kiel police announced.

Accordingly, the suspect comes from Bremen and is a Turkish citizen. At the request of the Kiel public prosecutor’s office, an arrest warrant was issued against him on suspicion of homicide. The “Kieler Nachrichten” reported first.

Another man was arrested in the case last week. The 23-year-old was released from custody after his alibi was checked. Further investigations led the investigators to track down the 22-year-old.

On March 11, the 15-year-old victim died in the parking lot in front of a supermarket in the city center of Eckernförde, Schleswig-Holstein. There had apparently been an argument beforehand, as a result of which the young person was fatally injured.

When the police arrived on scene, all they found was a trace of blood in the parking lot. A little later, the officers discovered the 15-year-old on a street three kilometers away. The officers tried to resuscitate the boy, who was critically injured. However, he died on the way to the hospital.
