Collien Fernandes makes a clear announcement: “Germany must no longer remain a haven for perpetrators”

Collien Fernandes is interrupting her “Dream Ship” filming in Vietnam and is on her way to Berlin. From the plane she reports to her followers with clear words.

“On the way back to you in Germany, because something HAS to change now!” said Fernandes in a selfie from the plane. “Now there MUST be better laws! (…) Germany must no longer remain a PERSONS’ PARADISE,” she appeals. She will meet with politicians in Berlin this week.

Federal Justice Minister Stefanie Hubig had already signaled in advance that a planned draft law envisages closing the current protection gaps in the criminal code as quickly as possible in order to finally offer those affected by digital violence legal recourse.

The pressure on politicians is growing

Collien Fernandes, whose sister has just spoken out about the casehad made serious deepfake allegations against her ex Christian Ulmen (50) in a report by “Spiegel”. Since the publication of the research, there has been massive public pressure on politicians: On Sunday, thousands of people demonstrated in Berlin for better protection for women online. In addition, more than 250 prominent women called for stricter action against digital attacks in an open letter.

Another large rally is also planned in Hamburg on Thursday. It is still unclear whether Collien Fernandes will appear there in person after her appointments in the capital.

Christian Ulmen’s lawyer comments

The magazine “Spiegel” gave Ulmen the opportunity to comment. His lawyers offered the journalists a background conversation. They therefore responded to some of the allegations. However, the conversation should not be reported.

In response to a BUNTE.de query, Christian Ulmen’s lawyer announced on March 19th that “untrue facts are being spread based on a one-sided description.” Legal action should be taken. There was no further comment on the allegations.

So far there has been no further statement from him regarding the allegations. After Fernandes’ complaint, a preliminary investigation was initiated. So far it is unclear how the process will continue. Christian Ulmen is presumed innocent.
