The bodies of the 62 and 68 year old couple were discovered on Wednesday, the Swabia South/West Police Headquarters announced late on Thursday evening.
On Thursday morning, a 45-year-old German-Iraqi man was arrested on suspicion of murder and an arrest warrant had already been issued.
Couple found dead, background unclear
It initially remained unclear who found the two married couples, whether there was evidence of a robbery or other motives. During the initial investigations on site by the Memmingen police station and the criminal investigation service, suspicion of a homicide arose, it was only said. The police were initially unable to explain in more detail how the investigators discovered the suspect.
The course of events and the background to the crime are the subject of the current investigation, it said.
