The mother of a 31-year-old man from Ravenna, Italy, saw no other option than to go to court to sue her own son. The man didn’t want to move out, even though he was an adult. The case was reported by the Italian newspaper “Corriere della Sera“.

The judge agreed with the mother: the maintenance relationship was declared ended and the son was sentenced to leave the apartment by June 30, 2026 at the latest and to pay around 3,000 euros in legal costs. At the age of 31, he had reached an age at which he could be expected to be economically independent and fully capable of working.
