From 2010 to 2012 he was also a permanent correspondent for the ARD Moscow studio. In addition, he has regularly done studio representation – for example in Warsaw and Nairobi.
Restle: “I’m really looking forward to a new challenge”
The 60-year-old will head the ARD studio in Kenya in the future. It reports from almost 40 sub-Saharan African countries. “I’m really looking forward to the new challenge, which I’m approaching with great humility. What’s most important to me is… Reporting from African countries in ARD and to bring the big topics from this huge reporting area closer to a German audience,” says Restle. The studio is currently being temporarily managed by Karin Bensch.
