A loud argument broke out on a Norwegian cruise ship. The subject of the dispute was apparently two swastika tattoos belonging to a passenger.
A man who described himself as a Jewinsulted the shirtless passenger. He repeatedly asked the on-board staff to do something about the display of the symbols. Several videos capture the incident.
Passenger stood out because of swastika tattoo
The Norwegian Breakaway anchored off the Bahamas island of Great Stirrup Cay on Tuesday. The video is presumably from Board the cruise ship. This was the result of a fact check by the German Press Agency (dpa). The dpa was unable to verify the nationality of those involved.
The right-wing swastika symbol has been considered a sacred symbol of good luck in Hinduism for thousands of years. Under Adolf Hitler, the National Socialists alienated the swastika as a swastika rotated 45 degrees. Both symbols could be seen on the passenger’s bare back.
