Mette-Marit reveals: Epstein gave her “a lot of fear.”

After keeping quiet for a long time, Mette-Marit now speaks about her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein in an interview with a Norwegian television station. She also talked about a frightening situation.

“Epstein behaved towards me in a way that I didn’t like. I can’t deny that,” the Crown Princess says in the report NRK-Interview on Friday (March 20). “When he came to Palm Beach on the last day of our stay, he put me in a situation that scared me so much that I called Haakon at home.”

Haakon: “She found herself in a situation where she felt unsafe”

“But I was in contact with him for quite a while afterwards,” Mette-Marit continues. “I think it was because he was so manipulative, that he took advantage of the fact that we had a mutual friend. That I’m gullible. I like to see the best in people. But I also decided to cut off contact with him, and of course that was because of incidents like this.”

Mette-Marit’s husband Haakon, who was present at the interview, also confirms: “I remember the conversation. She was in a situation in which she felt unsafe and actually didn’t want to be there anymore.” In the course of the interview I came across Haakon still raves about Mette-Marit.

However, she emphasized that she did not know that Epstein was a sex offender while she was still in contact with him Mette-Marit, who feels manipulated by Epstein. “Everyone I met with Epstein was of legal age. I never saw anything illegal.” At some point she realized that Epstein was not a good person, which is why she distanced herself from him after a while.

Mette-Marit no longer remembers the Epstein email

Mette-Marit has come under heavy criticism as a result of the Epstein files. The 52-year-old was proven to have had friendly contact with the convicted sex offender after he had already been sentenced. However, Mette-Marit assures: “I didn’t know that he was a sexual predator or a perpetrator.”

The Epstein files uncovered an email that Mette-Marit wrote to Epstein in 2011 – two years after his imprisonment. In it she writes: “I googled you after the last email. True, that didn’t look good.” She decorated the whole thing with a salmon smiley.

She explains in the interview that she no longer knows what she found out about Epstein back then: “I wish I had the rest of that email correspondence. I don’t know what I found and I don’t know if it was information that he asked me to google. I wish I had remembered what it was; that would probably have made my life a little easier now.”
