A good three days after Collien Fernandes’ serious allegations against Christian Ulmen became known, his long-time “Jerks” colleague Fahri Yardim spoke out. He shares a statement on Instagram.
He begins with the words: “late. incomplete.” Yardim continues: “I am just as shocked as many others. I admire Collien’s courage. I am grateful for the encouragement she is receiving.” Fernandes has his “full solidarity”.
Fahri Yardim: “The allegations deserve protection and serious attention”
“For me, believing victims is a fundamental normative attitude. The allegations deserve protection, serious attention and the clear prioritization of the perspective of those affected.”
The actor also practices self-criticism in his statement. He knows that his hesitation is “not neutral.” He wouldn’t intend the effect behind it. “I couldn’t help it. I needed time.”
He goes on to describe two levels, one public and one personal. The shock is particularly special when it comes to “such abysses in close circles of friends.”
His final words: “This is not a final answer. But I see more clearly that my hesitation – and the lack of a timely position – is itself already a position. With real consequences. And I try to face these consequences not only mentally, but also practically.”

Yardim and Ulmen have a long-standing friendship. They have known each other since childhood. They are also the duo behind the comedy series “Jerks,” in which they play fictionalized versions of themselves. The series ran from 2017 to 2023.
That’s what Christian Ulmen’s lawyer says
The magazine “Spiegel” gave Ulmen the opportunity to comment. His lawyers offered the journalists a background conversation. They therefore responded to some of the allegations. However, the conversation should not be reported.
In response to a BUNTE.de inquiry, Christian Ulmen’s lawyer announced on Thursday evening that “untrue facts are being spread based on a one-sided description.” Legal action should be taken. There was no further comment on the allegations.
So far there has been no further statement from him regarding the allegations. After Fernandes’ complaint, a preliminary investigation was initiated. So far it is unclear how the process will continue. Christian Ulmen is presumed innocent.
