Bizarre end to the ZDF broadcast of the Alpine Ski World Cup from Lillehammer. After the men’s slalom, there was supposed to be an interview with the German Linus Straßer – but that didn’t happen.
ZDF presenter Amelie Stiefvatter explains to the viewers: “We would have loved to have conducted an interview with Linus Straßer at this point, but he really wanted his bottle sponsor to be seen in the picture. Unfortunately, this is surreptitious advertising and is prohibited on public broadcasting. Accordingly, the interview did not take place. We thank you for your interest.”
