Hafjell women’s slalom in the live ticker (from 10.30 a.m.)

10.35 a.m. – Emma Aicher (Germany): Now Emma Aicher is off to the slopes. She finds access to the course and is neck and neck with Holdener in the fight for the lead. The line is good, but Aicher lacks the final aggressiveness. That’s not enough, the German ski star is 28 hundredths behind Holdener.

10:34 a.m. – Lara Colturi (Albania): Colturi starts cautiously, then slowly gets going. But Holdener’s time cannot attack her and in the lower part the woman from Albania runs out of strength. She is well over a second behind Holdener.

10.32 a.m. – Wendy Holdener (Switzerland): Holdener is already moving much faster and is clearly ahead of the rest of the team. She expands on this in the lower part and takes the lead with 71 hundredths.

10.30 a.m. – Katharina Troupe (Austria): Katharina Troupe opens the slalom in Hafjell, Norway. The Austrian gets through cleanly on the soft snow, but the ride doesn’t look particularly dynamic. She needs over a minute for her run, a very long slalom to the World Cup final.

Ski racer Emma Aicher wants to keep her chance of winning the overall World Cup for the first time in the penultimate race of the season. The 22-year-old goes into the slalom on Tuesday (10.30 a.m./ZDF) 45 points behind the American Mikaela Shiffrin. A total of 200 points are still up for grabs for an athlete in the slalom and the final giant slalom on Wednesday.

Slalom Olympic champion Shiffrin starts as the favorite; this season she won eight of nine World Cup slaloms. Aicher would be the first German Alpine overall World Cup winner since Maria Riesch in 2011.
